What Happens During Your First Visit

Your initial appointment typically lasts about 30 minutes and includes:

1. Digital Records & Imaging

We’ll take digital photos and/or X-rays (Cephalometric or panoramic) using the latest technology to understand your teeth, bite, and jaw alignment. We might also take and digital scan for the teeth, Don’t worry, no goopy impressions or outdated methods!

2. Comprehensive Exam

You’ll meet with Dr. Al Khatib or Dr. Utreja, both board-certified orthodontists, who will perform a detailed orthodontic evaluation. They’ll assess your current bite, teeth alignment, jaw structure, and facial balance.

3. Customized Treatment Plan

If treatment is recommended, we’ll walk you through a personalized plan that fits your smile goals, lifestyle, and timeline. Whether it’s clear aligners, braces, or a phased approach, you’ll get a clear explanation of your options.

4. Time for Questions

We’ll answer all your questions — from treatment steps to financing — so you leave feeling informed and confident.

Insurance & Financing

We believe everyone deserves a beautiful, healthy smile. During your visit, we’ll:

  • Review your insurance benefits (if applicable)
  • Provide a transparent estimate of costs

For Children & Teens

We welcome patients of all ages and encourage early evaluation starting around age 7. Early visits don’t always mean starting treatment — but they help us monitor growth and catch potential issues early.

For Adults

It’s never too late for the smile you’ve always wanted. Many of our patients are adults choosing clear aligners or braces to improve their health, confidence, and appearance.

To help us serve you best, please bring:
